Nicki Minaj satisfies R8 million judgment

Rapper Nicki Minaj can now breathe easy after satisfying the judgment against her and her husband at the last-minute without losing their house.

Minaj’s mansion stood at risk yesterday if she missed the deadline to pay her former security guard, Thomas Weidenmuller, over R8 million after he sued the rapper and her husband and won.

In 2019, Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, assaulted her former security guard, Thomas Weidenmuller, backstage at a concert in Germany.

In 2022, Weidenmuller sued the 43-year-old You See Right Through Me rapper and Petty for the assault.

According to Daily Mail, a $503,000 (R8,131,799) default judgment was issued in favour of Weidenmuller in 2024.

In November of last year, Judge Pánuco said she was looking to order the sale of Minaj’s Hidden Hill mansion, unless the rapper completes payment to Weidenmüller, reports Daily Mail.

Yesterday, before entering the courthouse, Weidenmuller’s attorney, Paul Saso, said they planned to tell the judge Nicki has actually satisfied the judgment, as reported by TMZ.

“She has satisfied the judgment. It required us going to the one-yard line,” Saso said, according to US Weekly.
