Paris Saint-Germain winger Neymar insists that he is “mentally ready” to face Real Madrid in the second leg of the Uefa Champions League Round of 16.

PSG come into this game with a 1-0 first-leg advantage, which was played a fortnight ago.

The Brazilian international spent most of his time on the sidelines due to an ankle problem in the current season, having only played 18 games, scored four goals and contributed four assists across all competitions for the Parisians.

“I feel 100% okay. It’s taken a bit more time than expected, it’s a very tricky injury, but I’m ready 100% physically and mentally to help the team,” said the 30-year-old footballer.

“This is a match for players who love to play, who have no fear.

“We’ll be against a very strong team with players with a lot of quality. We’re not going to give in or hide. We’re going to give everything to try and win the game.”

The mouthwatering showpiece is set to kick off at 22:00 tonight at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
