New Face Spotted At Chiefs

Published

on

A new face has been spotted at training with Kaizer Chiefs since the beginning of the week, iDiski Times can confirm.

The Glamour Boys are currently preparing for the Carling Black Label Cup semi-final against bitter rivals Orlando Pirates – just two weeks after both sides met in the Soweto Derby in the league, which was decided by Yusuf Maart’s wonder goal.

On Thursday, the club invited local journalists for a media day with iDiski Times spotting former Newcastle United defender Bradley Cross at Naturena.

The 21-year-old had been training with SuperSport United in recent weeks and has been at Naturena since Monday.

He comes from the Bidvest Wits academy before making a move to Bundesliga side Schalke, where he played in the U19 side, upon the sale of the club.

From Schalke he went on to play for Newcastle United’s reserves side for two years and even captained the team for large parts of last season.

However, after a serious knee injury, the Kempton-Park-born defender was released and he’s now been on the lookout for a new club.
