New Champs Sundowns Ladies Continue To Shine

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have not taken their foot off the peddle despite securing the 2022 Hollywoodbets Super League title with four matches to spare last week.

Sundowns have scored 17 goals in the last two matches, one of them an 8-0 victory over Limpopo’s First Touch Academy this past weekend. The win also saw their goal tally rise to 112 as they sit top of the table with 73 points in 27 matches, while Dikgoṧigadi tṧa Limpopo are now 10th on the log with 28 points in 25 games.

In other league results, this weekend University of Western Cape (UWC) defeated the newly crowned Varsity Cup champions, the University of Johannesburg 3-0. Thina Mbuli’s charges moved up to third position on the standings with 47 points in 23 outings while UJ remained in sixth spot with 43 points from 25 games.

Elsewhere Coal City Wizards were 2-1 winners over Rookies City Lads. The Mpumalanga-based side is in 12th place on the log with 20 points in 23 games while Lads are in 13th spot with 19 points from the same number of games.
