Images of the new green LeCoqSportif away kits, which will be worn by Banyana Banyana and Bafana Bafana, have been leaked to iDiski Times.
The official new kits will be unveiled by LeCoqSportif on Friday, 28 April, after players from both teams voted for their favourite designs from local fans.
LeCoqSportif had asked for local designers to submit their concepts, with over 50 ideas being submitted before a five-name shortlist was drawn up and presented to players from Banyana and Bafana.
However, some alterations had to be made to his designs to stay in line with FIFA regulations, a source told iDiski Times.
The new away kit has a pattern of South Africa’s national flower, the Protea. Also the green and gold colouring is symbolic for Banyana’s triumph at least year’s Woman’s Africa Cup if Nations.
The kit will be unveiled together with the new home kit as well as a warm-up shirt on Friday, and go on sale on the LeCoqSportig website in May.
Banyana will don the strip at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in July and August.
