Orlando Pirates DStv Diski Challenge star Boitumelo Radiopane will get a chance in the DStv Premiership.
Radiopane enjoyed a standout campaign after he bagged 24 goals in 27 matches to finish as the 2021/22 season top goalscorer. The 20-year-old claimed two accolades at the PSL Awards: DDC Player of the season and the top goalscorer award.
And his hard work was something you can’t ignore according to senior team head coach Mandla Ncikazi, who went on to say the ‘Radioman’ will have to be given a chance in the next campaign of 2022/23,
“Great potential, quality in him [Radiopane], ability to score, ability to use both feet, ability to use the head. I love those qualities in him but it’s only potential,” Ncikazi told SuperSport.
“Let’s give him an opportunity in the big league. Then we can start writing the right exam,” he added. “But I am very optimistic that we have a good player in him, we have to give him an opportunity soon.”
“Next season I am sure he will get a chance. He is going to be one of those great strikers based on the quality I have seen in him.”
With the Buccaneers’ senior side losing the Malawian forward Gabhadinho Mhango to AmaZulu it’s opened a space for the precocious talent who also has been named in the COSAFA Cup Bafana Bafana preliminary squad.
