Nandipha Magudumana’s brother Nkosinathi
Businessman Nkosinathi Sekeleni, the brother of Dr Nandipha Magudumana, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following an alleged violent incident over the weekend.
Sekeleni, who previously appeared in the Showmax documentary Tracking Thabo Bester, was taken into custody after he allegedly assaulted a man on Saturday, 7 February 2026.
According to reports, the charges were escalated to attempted murder after the victim’s condition worsened and he continued fighting for his life in hospital.
It is understood that Sekeleni claimed he attacked the unidentified man after the latter allegedly tried to rob him.
The South African reported on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, that Magudumana’s brother had been formally charged.
He appeared in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 9 February 2026, alongside two other men in connection with the incident.
According to IOL, the trio initially faced charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, but these were later upgraded to attempted murder as the victim’s medical condition remained critical.
The three accused were released on warning pending further investigations and are expected to return to court in March.
Sekeleni has previously been in the public eye due to his association with his sister, Dr Nandipha Magudumana, who remains linked to convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester.
He also made headlines in the past when he addressed social media claims that his mother was seen crying in court during proceedings related to the high-profile case.
