Naledi Aphiwe begs fans in Zimbabwe

South African star Naledi Aphiwe is preparing for her upcoming performance in Zimbabwe, but not without addressing the tension that once surrounded her name.

The young singer, best known for her hit Ngyabonga, is set to take the stage at the highly anticipated Ama2kFest in Harare on April 4, 2026, alongside Nigerian artist Ruger and Mzansi’s Scotts Maphuma.

However, excitement around her booking was initially overshadowed when social media users resurfaced an old post in which she allegedly responded harshly to a Zimbabwean fan.

The backlash that followed forced Naledi to publicly apologise, and now, as her performance date draws closer, she has made another heartfelt appeal to Zimbabwean fans.

In a TikTok video promoting the event, the singer kept her message simple but sincere.

“Hey guys, I have exciting news… I am coming to Zimbabwe. Please be kind, it’s my first time in Zimbabwe. Please be gentle. I love you guys so much.”

Her plea appears to have softened many hearts, with a growing number of fans choosing to move past the controversy and support her visit.
