Nadia Nakai under serious fire after calling AKA, ‘The One’

Despite making headlines for all the wrong reasons, Nadia Nakai and AKA’s relationship seems to be heating up in front of fans.

In just a few short months of dating, the celebrity rapper couple has had their fair share of scandals. But on social media their romance, however, appears picture-perfect.

In an Instagram post over the weekend, Nadia Nakai posted another picture of her cuddling up to her boyfriend AKA. “The One”, she captioned the post.

Over the long weekend, Nadia Nakai appeared the dutiful girlfriend as she tagged along to AKA’s performance at Konka in Soweto.

Nadia was seen dancing and singing along to AKA’s biggest hits as he performed on stage alongside bestie Da L.E.S.

AKA also posted a pic of his girlfriend on his Insta, showing him leaning in for a kiss.

“Ragga ragga ragga”, he captioned the pic, referencing Nadia Nakai’s 2016 hit song with Cassper Nyovest, Gemini Major, and Riky Rick.

AKA has previously dated Bonang Matheba, DJ Zinhle, and was engaged to Nelli Tembe, who died in April 2021 after jumping off the balcony of a Cape Town hotel.

Nadia Nakai has dated Major League DJ Bandile Mbere, US rapper Vic Mensa and SA muso Dotcom. She’s also been romantically linked to Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, as seen in the Netflix reality TV series Young, Famous & African.

But as sweet as Nadia Nakai and AKA’s romance appears, fans are reminded of their dramatic past.

Fans are also not impressed with Nadia labeling AKA – who has been accused of having anger issues after a series of leaked videos featuring his late fiance – as ‘The One’.
