Nadia Nakai dragged for ‘inappropriate’ outfit at Zee Nation Fest

Nadia Nakai has found herself at the centre of online criticism following her performance at DJ Zinhle’s Zee Nation Fest 2025.

While videos of the rapper’s electrifying stage presence have been making the rounds on social media, much of the conversation has been centred on her outfit.

Online users didn’t hold back their opinions, with many accusing her of relying on nudity to draw attention.

One comment read, “Nakedness is the new currency.” Another person wrote, “When the streamings are not paying well. You gotta do this so the bookings can pay the bills.”

The criticism didn’t stop there, as another user asked, “Why women have to be half naked to perform?”

A more pointed remark came from someone referencing her Zimbabwean roots, stating, “Zimbabweans said ‘represent us’ and she heard ‘strip for us.’”

Others went as far as to claim that her shows are popular solely because of her provocative style, with one comment saying, “People are actually buying tickets for her nudity, not music. If she was fully clothed, I don’t think her shows would sell even half!”

Despite the backlash, Nadia Nakai has not yet responded to the wave of criticism.
