Mzansi speculates after Tyla unfollows rumoured boyfriend

South African Grammy winner Tyla has once again found herself trending online, but this time it’s not because of a chart-topping hit or viral fashion moment. Social media users are convinced there may be trouble in paradise after they noticed that the singer allegedly unfollowed her rumoured boyfriend on Instagram.

Fans notice social media changes

Online detectives were quick to spot that Tyla and the mystery man, believed by fans to be her rumoured partner Geo, no longer follow each other on Instagram. The discovery immediately sparked breakup rumours across social media, with many wondering whether the pair quietly called it quits.

Although neither Tyla nor Geo has addressed the speculation publicly, that hasn’t stopped Mzansi from sharing opinions online. Some fans believe the unfollow means the relationship is over, while others think social media activity should not be taken too seriously.

Tyla keeps her love life private

Despite being one of South Africa’s biggest global stars right now, Tyla has always remained relatively private about her dating life. The Water hitmaker rarely comments on romance rumours, preferring to keep the spotlight on her music and growing international career.

That privacy, however, often fuels curiosity among fans eager to know more about the singer’s personal life.

Mzansi reacts online

Social media users wasted no time weighing in after the unfollow drama surfaced. While some fans expressed disappointment, others joked that Instagram unfollows are the new breakup announcements.

”This means nothing,” commented one X user.

“She has unfollowed him since last year, yet still likes his posts and was with him a month ago,” added another.

Wondering what happened, a curious X user asked, “Did he cheat?”

“She wasn’t going to last with a man called ‘Geography,’” joked one more.

Whether the rumours are true or not, one thing is certain: Tyla knows how to keep the internet talking.
