Dineo Ranaka

Dineo Ranaka has shared a deeply personal reflection about a turning point in her life, opening up about a moment of profound inner struggle and the spiritual renewal that followed.

In a post shared on Instagram, the media personality revealed that on 23 May two years ago, she experienced what she described as a spiritual breaking point that forced her to confront parts of herself that were no longer serving her.

Rather than a physical ending, Ranaka said she came to understand that what needed to end were the patterns, habits and versions of herself that were holding her back.

“One morning 2 years ago, May 23, I woke up delirious with a deep urge to seize to exist,” she wrote.

“Later, in solitude, I learnt in spirit that it was not a physical end to life that needed to happen. I needed to seize the existence of the ways that were holding me back.”

She explained that the experience felt like a spiritual cleansing, describing it as a moment of surrender and transformation.

According to Ranaka, it marked the end of a version of herself that many believed they knew, and the beginning of a new chapter rooted in self-awareness and faith.

“A version of me, that we all assumed we knew died,” she shared. “And reborn is this woman that I am enjoying spending time with. I feel everything so deeply and see all things profoundly.”

Ranaka went on to reflect on how the experience reshaped her relationship with God, saying she now approaches life with humility and trust rather than certainty.

She also shared a prayer that has guided her since that moment.

“Father, please reveal YOUR work of art IN ME, through my hands,” she wrote.

Concluding her post, Ranaka described herself as a work in progress, guided by faith and inner healing.

“No idea what I’m doing, but following the guidance of God from within,” she added, before affirming, “My nervous system is fixed. And so is my heart on the Lord.”
