Former Eskom boss Matshela Koko says those who’ve laid charges against him, have set themselves up for failure.
Koko, his wife, and several others appeared in the Middelburg Magistrates’ Court in Mpumalanga on Thursday.
They are charged with corruption, fraud, and money laundering, related to an irregular contract at Kusile Power Station.
They were arrested in Gauteng and Mpumalanga Thursday morning.
Koko’s legal team is currently arguing why the former acting Eskom CEO should be granted bail.
Three of the accused have been granted bail of R70,000.
