Muvhango star David Sebe ‘alive and well’ after viral death hoax

David Sebe is not dead

Fans of Muvhango were thrown into panic this week after false reports began circulating online claiming that veteran actor David Sebe, known for his role as Vho-Gizara, had died.

The rumours spread rapidly across social media, with several posts alleging that the 67-year-old had passed away.

The unverified claims sparked an outpouring of grief, as worried fans reacted in real time, mourning a man many believed had already been lost.

However, the narrative quickly shifted after fellow cast member Gabriel Temudzani stepped in to shut down the speculation.

The actor, widely recognised for his role as Chief Azwindini Mukwevho, dismissed the reports as completely false and reassured the public that Sebe is “very much alive and in good spirits.”

He added that the actor remains smiling and appreciative of the concern shown by fans.

Temudzani didn’t hold back in condemning the spread of misinformation, urging social media users to be more responsible with what they share.

As fake tribute messages continued to make the rounds, some even praising Sebe for bringing “warmth, wit and authenticity” to the show during his long run, Temudzani reminded the public to “share the facts, not the noise.”
