While speaking to BONA, MustBeDubz, real name Kwanda Dada, drops on 7 August 2026. The album, with the name translating to ‘growth’ in English, has eight tracks and shows the most “breathtaking work” on his journey.

“The first single is out and is titled Ndlela, which means ‘journey.’”

The multi-platinum producer, who hails from Katlehong, Johannesburg, collaborated with Rory Diamondz on the track, noting that they had connected online after discovering her content and praising her talent.

“When we linked up in the studio, it was magic. She understood the assignment, and we came out with a beautiful piece of art that is both spiritual and works on any dance floor,” he shared.

MustBeDubz on his path to music

After collaborating with AKA, Costa Titch, Focalistic, Kwesta, Tyler ICU, and Moozlie, to name a few, MustBeDubz transitioned from hip hop to amapiano, noting that he first started his music journey as a sound engineer.

BONA asked the star how he stays true to himself when changing his sound, to which he responded, “I love music with soul, even if it has a hard beat, but it always must speak to the soul.”

As he prepares to release KWANDA, MustBeDubz spends his time travelling the world, DJing and producing his own records, sharing his music as an artist.
