Twitter has made a limit to the number of tweets users can read in a day, Elon Musk confirmed.
On Saturday, millions of Twitter users across many countries were unable to access the social media site, with some facinf delays or unable to see tweets.
Twitter billionaire owner Elon Musk tweeted that the site had applied temporary limits “to address extreme levels of data scraping and system manipulation.” He also said unverified accounts can read up to 600 posts a day while newly unverified accounts can only see 300 posts per day.

According to CNN, on Friday Twitter appeared to be restricting access to its platform for anyone not logged into an account. It was not clear whether the change was an intentional policy update or a glitch. Most of the reported problems Saturday were on the website, at 44%, followed by 39% of problems reported on the app.
