Businessman and reality TV star Musa Mseleku left viewers stunned after making a deeply personal request to his daughter, Mpilo Mseleku, during the latest episode of Uthando Nes’thembu Season 9.

In the second episode, Mseleku paid Mpilo a visit at her workplace, where the two shared lunch and a serious conversation that quickly took an unexpected turn.

According to Mseleku, the discussion was driven by his concern about preserving MaKhumalo’s household, as she is unable to have children.

The issue of MaKhumalo’s infertility has long been addressed on the show, with the couple previously exploring medical options in hopes of having children, without success.

During the episode, Mseleku explained that he had first approached MaCele to traditionally assign Lwandle under MaKhumalo’s home, but she refused, leaving him searching for another solution.

“If we do not come up with a solution, and to ensure MaKhumalo’s home does not die, you need to step up and protect this home,” Mseleku told his 21-year-old daughter.

A visibly shocked Mpilo asked her father to clarify what he meant.

He then explained that he was referring to her having children, not marriage.

Mpilo reacted with disbelief, laughing before firmly rejecting the idea.

“I don’t understand what is happening. Maybe dad feels like he is at the last straw, so he feels that he has to rope me in, but not me. Forget it,” she said.

Mpilo added that such a sensitive discussion would require MaKhumalo’s input, but expressed confidence that Thobile would never agree to such an arrangement.

The moment sparked intense debate online, especially given Mpilo’s close bond with MaKhumalo, who helped raise her as her own child.

Mseleku is toxic, leech bro, a parasite! 🚮 he must survive against all odds? this is insane and selfish! #Uthandonesthembu pic.twitter.com/3aL6DwMTo9
