Mpumalanga church congregants robbed of their belongings moments after saying ‘Amen’

- They forced congregants to lie down and took cash, cellphones, and car keys before fleeing in a stolen VW Polo.
- Shots were fired inside the church, but no injuries were reported.
Police in Mpumalanga have launched a manhunt for three armed suspects who robbed worshippers at a church in Mkhuhlu, Calcutta, near Hazyview, on Sunday.
According to police, the men stormed into the church while congregants were worshipping.
Armed with firearms, they ordered everyone to lie down before making off with cellphones, cash, and car keys.
Provincial police spokesperson Donald Mdhluli said the suspects fled the scene in a white VW Polo belonging to one of the victims.
It is further reported that several shots were fired inside the church, but fortunately, no one was injured.
No arrests have been made, and police investigations are ongoing.
