Fadiel Adams has been ordered to hand himself over to the nearest police station in connection with fraud allegations and defeating the course of justice.
Adams is a National Coloured Congress Member of the National Assembly.
“SAPS has a J50 warrant of arrest for Adams. The warrant relates to serious allegations that he interfered with ongoing investigations into the murder of the late ANC Youth League leader, Sindiso Magaqa,” said national police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe.
The Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) found that Adams interfered with the now convicted and sentenced hitman at a very sensitive and advanced stage of the police’s investigation.
“Police have gone through extensive efforts to locate Adams, including visiting multiple addresses associated with him. Arrangements were made with his attorney for him to hand himself over on Monday, 04 May 2026, at the Cape Town Central Police Station, but as of now, he has not cooperated,” Mathe added.
Adams was also scheduled to appear before a KwaZulu-Natal court on Monday but failed to do so.
He has been urged to cooperate with law enforcement and hand himself over at his nearest police station without delay.
