Motsepe Foundation Championship Round-Up – iDiski Times

Despite not playing this week, Polokwane City remains top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship as the league goes on break for almost two months.

Seven fixtures were played this week, including catch-up games after matches were postponed to allow players to be part of the national under-23 camp last month.

On Wednesday there was a big win for All Stars, who beat Venda Football Academy 4-0, while Casric Stars moved up to second on the table as they won 2-1 at Baroka.

Tshakhuma also picked up three points after a 1-0 victory over Cape Town Spurs, though that match was marred after a late equaliser was disallowed that drew the ire of the Spurs bench.

However, on Saturday Spurs returned to winning ways as Colin Ryan grabbed the winner in a 1-0 over Black Leopards in Limpopo. That result see Spurs up to to fifth.

Pretoria Callies picked up a much-needed 1-0 win over Tshakhuma, while Baroka suffered a 4-2 defeat to La Masia.

Meanwhile Magesi got the better of All Stars, as they triumphed 1-0 and were the only successful Limpopo outfit on the day.
