Polokwane City moved three points clear at the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship after this weekend’s round of fixtures.
Duncan Lechesa’s team were in action on Sunday and came from a goal down to beat NB La Masia 2-1. After 11 games Rise and Shine are now on 25 points, three ahead of Hungry Lions.
Lions lost 2-0 to Casric Stars on Saturday. That result also saw Casric jump up to third.
AmaTuks suffered their second successive defeat as they lost 1-0 at home to Platinum City Rovers, and Tuks have now dropped down to fifth.
All Stars won 1-0 away at Pretoria Callies, while on Friday JDR Stars beat Tshakhuma 1-0, as JDR moved up to fourth, to be the highest of the Tshwane teams.
