Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane has announced his final squad for the upcoming back-to-back 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Kenya.
Mosimane unveiled his selection on Thursday, November 5, as South Africa prepare for two crucial encounters against Benni McCarthy’s Harambee Stars.
The first match will take place at Orlando Amstel Arena in Soweto on Friday, November 13, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm. Bafana will then travel to Nairobi for the return fixture on Tuesday, November 17.
South Africa head into the double-header in confident mood after collecting maximum points from their opening two Group D qualifiers, beating Guinea 2-1 before recording an emphatic 5-0 victory over Eritrea.
The team will be looking to maintain that winning momentum and strengthen its position in the qualification campaign.
One of the notable inclusions is Mamelodi Sundowns youngster Siyanda Ndlovu, who has earned recognition for his performances at club level.
Mosimane has also welcomed back striker Lyle Foster, midfielder Thalente Mbatha and defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi, who missed the previous qualifying fixtures.
However, Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebohang Maboe and Orlando Pirates captain Nkosinathi Sibisi are among those who have not made the final selection.
The squad combines experienced internationals with emerging talent, as Mosimane looks to build a competitive team capable of delivering results against Kenya.
