Morisson Not Allowed In SA For Pirates Clash?

Published

on

Simba SC talisman Bernard Morrison is currently unable to enter South Africa but the Tanzanian outfit are working around the clock to get the issue sorted for their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Orlando Pirates.

The former Pirates playmaker has become a household name at the East African giants since joining them from their fierce rivals Young Africans in a controversial free transfer.

But his paperwork issues could prevent him from travelling to Johannesburg for their second leg quarter-final tie against the Buccaneers, something that prevented him from facing Kaizer Chiefs in the CAF Champions League last season.

iDiski Times understands that the Ghanaian overstayed beyond his work permit during his time in South Africa, which requires him to pay a fine before being able to enter the country again – which Simba have been made aware of.

However, the 21-time league champions are confident that they will be able to have the player available with the processes already in motion to have the fine paid for before the 24th April showdown.

The 29-year-old has scored three goals and registered two assists in seven games (three starts) in the Confederation Cup this season.
