Football administrator Morgan Mmamila has tendered his resignation at Motsepe Foundation Championship side All Stars.
Mmamila joined the club as CEO following their relocation from Cape Town to Gauteng recently.
But it looks like his stay at the club was short-lived. FARPost has seen the communique sent to all the players on Monday.
“I have decided to do a difficult thing and hurtful for me by resigning from the team with immediate effect for the benefit of the team,” read the correspondent.
“My wish was to start the season and lift the Champions with all you guys. I will support the team as an outsider cause my heart will remain with the team.
“I’m not going to be selfish and make the team suffer because of me. I have done my part in this team. I have connected to everyone in the technical team and Players,” Mmamila explained to the players and staff.
“We have assembled a good team, and I don’t see this team losing a single match. All the best, guys. I’m just a phone call away for anything, guys.”
News reaching this publication is that the former Baroka CEO could be making a dramatic return to DStv Premiership club Chippa United.
Mmamila was not immediately available for comment.
