South African rapper and media personality Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena is celebrating a major milestone of 13 years since the moment that changed her life forever.

On 20 October 2012, a young Moozlie was crowned the winner of the MTV Base VJ Search, a victory that launched her into stardom and set the stage for a remarkable career in entertainment.

Taking to social media, Moozlie shared an emotional message reflecting on her journey from a hopeful presenter to one of South Africa’s most dynamic creative forces.

“God, you have been SO good!! All I ever wanted to be was a YoTV presenter. The people I’ve met. The places I’ve gone. The things I’ve done?! What a DREAM!!” she wrote.

She also took a moment to thank her supporters and industry peers, extending a heartfelt prayer for their own success and blessings.

Her post struck a chord with many fans, serving as both a celebration and a reminder of how far she’s come.

Reflecting on her career, Moozlie encouraged others in creative fields to pause and appreciate their wins.

She noted that in the rush to reach the next milestone, people often forget to celebrate the “incredible things we’ve already done.”

For her, this anniversary represents more than just time passed.

From her breakout as a vibrant VJ to her success in music, fashion, and television, Moozlie has become an influential voice in South African pop culture.

And as she looks toward the future, she’s far from done making her mark.

“And still… the best is yet to come,” she declared.
