Reality star and social media influencer Naliyani Uma chatted about her SA Fashion Week day one outfit in an exclusive interview with The South African.

NALIYANI STUNS IN JACQUI EMMANUEL DRESS

Reality star Naliyani Uma attended SA Fashion Week, which kicked off on Thursday, 26 September at Melrose Arch in Gauteng. The Mommy Club: Sugar and Spice star wore a corset gown by Durban-based fashion designer Jacqui Emmanuel.

In an exclusive interview with The South African, she expressed that she loved the drama of the corset and off-the-shoulder jacket.

“I’m using Jacqui Emmanuel. My favourite part of this look is the drama of the corset and the off-the-shoulder jacket. It is just a piece of art,” she said exclusively to The South African.

The reality star went on to say that she was excited to see Michael Ludwig, The Bam Collective and Gert Johan Coetzee, who were all showcasing their collections on day one.

“SA Fashion Week day one is off to a phenomenal start. Seeing Michael Ludwig, The Bam Collective and Gert Johan Coetzee, I’m definitely looking forward to what’s in store,” she said.

Naliyani went on to say that she loves how Gert Johan Coetzee brings South African culture into his collection.

“It’s up in the air between Gert Johan Coeztee and Bam Collective. What I love most about Gert is how he is always transcending the fashion realms and bringing so much of our South African culture into his outfits, but also the international field. The fact that he is bringing his London collection here and showcasing it,” she continued.

“I am really looking forward to Imprint. Imprint is always killing it with their silhouettes for everyone. I’m looking forward to it, I’m excited,” she continued.
