Skeem Saam actress Mogau Motlhatswi recently took a trip from Johannesburg to Limpopo for a much-needed break away from the fast-paced city life.

At this time of year, year-end fatigue often begins to set in, leaving many people longing for rest and a change of scenery. For Mogau, that meant heading home.

“Big city life can get overwhelming when you know the joys and peace of being home,” she shared, posting a few snaps from her journey north.

Born in Limpopo near Lebowakgomo, Mogau later moved to Johannesburg, where she attended Piet van Vuuren Primary School in Brixton. During her school years, she excelled in athletics, cross-country, and netball.

Mogau Paulina Motlhatswi is best known for her role as Mapitsi in the popular SABC1 youth drama turned soap opera, Skeem Saam. She completed her high school education at St Mary’s in Waverley, where she studied drama, history, and geography up to matric level.
