Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi has named three Marumo Gallants players his charges must be aware of, ahead of their Nedbank Cup final on Saturday.

Mngqithi picked the midfield trio of Miguel Timm, Celimpilo Ngema and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo as they pose a huge threat.

“The good part about Dan’s team, is that it has got very three important players that make that team to function; which is Miguel Timm, who I believe is grossly undermined in the league, but he’s one of the best central midfielders,” said Mngqithi.

“It has also got Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, whom I regard very highly, very dynamic, good in counter pressing, good in passing game, got full range of passing and also scores goals and he’s very important to that team.”

“They also have Celimpilo Ngema, whom I also regard very highly, they call him Zizoe because he’s a very intelligent player, very nippy, very intelligent to see the openings that he can exploit between the lines, creates a lot of goals in that team, he’s a very important player in general. That makes them to be one of the most dynamic midfielders that we have in South Africa, that three of Miguel, Celimpilo and Ndlondlo, its something that we must look at very closely.”

The 51-year-old went on to single out Sede Junior Deon for praise for doing well in the Nedbank Cup.

“They also have offensive fullbacks that can cause use problems, we are not aware. Their Ivorian Sede Junior Deon has done more tremendously well especially in this cup, so that makes them a team that we must look at very closely because they got some players that can hurt us.”

Kickoff at Royal Bafokeng Stadium is at 18:00
