Mmeli Khumalo, who was among the returning housemates, was evicted in the top 8 this season, leaving behind his newfound lover, Thandeka Shabalala still competing for the grand prize.

The pair grew closer in the house and were doing everything together. After his eviction, Mmeli revealed that he is rooting for Thandeka and believes that she will win the money.

The 27-year-old from Hillbrow recently sat down with BONA to discuss opportunities beyond the Bazozwa house.

Mmeli revealed that he learnt a lot about himself, and believes he has grown while he was in the house. He learnt patience, to sit down and learn from other people, as well as resilience.

He has always had the ‘kasi boy’ taste in clothes and music, he did not leave that quality behind even when he was competing in Big Brother Titans; where they were mixed with Nigerian housemates, having to adapt and learn each other’s ways of living. This had him stand out, as many believed he was true to himself while others resonated with him better.

“I have always been a kasi boy more than anything, and I believe I represented myself and where I come from in the house.”

He also expressed his hunger to work, after being on one of the biggest platforms in South Africa where he exposed his talents hoping for better opportunities.

“Any kind of opportunity that comes my way trust me, I’m willing to tackle it. Obviously, everyone knows that I do a lot of content and streaming, please be on the lookout for that. That’s what I will be doing going forward. Just be sick of seeing me in all these content creations,” he said.

“Thandeka is definitely taking it, because she was a true representation of raw, uncut, authentic; she was just herself. If people didn’t like her she would have left anytime but, she lasted all the nominations. Clearly she was doing something right. So she is taking the prize,” said Mmeli.
