The body of Khayalethu Magadla has finally been found.

The six-year-old fell into an uncovered manhole in Dlamini, Soweto on 12 June while playing with friends.

The search for him has taken close to three weeks.

Several Emergency Management Services teams spent two weeks looking for him before eventually handing the search over to Joburg Water a few days ago.

The boy’s family had told the publication that they had accepted he would not be found alive but wanted to lay his body to rest.
