Miss South Africa 2026 entries open on 28 April

The organisation shared the news on its official social media page, revealing that entries will open on 28 April 2026 and close on 17 May 2026. The announcement has already created excitement among pageant fans and hopeful contestants who dream of competing for the national title.

In the post, the page explained that the competition is about more than just beauty and the crown. It also focuses on leadership, empowerment and creating a positive impact in communities.

The organisation wrote: “A new era begins. Miss South Africa 2026 is not just a stage, it’s a movement for leadership, empowerment, and real social impact. Through Empower Youth Africa (EYA), this journey goes beyond the crown, driving meaningful change in communities across the country and continent. Entries for Miss South Africa 2026 will open from 28 April to 17 May 2026. Are you ready to lead, serve, and make an impact? Stay tuned for more information.”

QHAWEKAZI MAZALENI REFLECTS ON HER JOURNEY

Miss South Africa 2025, Qhawekazi Mazaleni, also shared her excitement about the upcoming submissions. She reflected on her journey as Miss South Africa and described the role as a powerful leadership opportunity.

Qhawekazi encouraged women who want to make a difference in their communities to consider entering the competition.

She wrote: “This has been one of the most transformative leadership roles I have ever stepped into. It’s allowed me to learn, grow and continuously pour into projects so close to my heart and is continuously laying foundations for the road I’m walking. If you are considering applying and making real impact, please keep an eye out for more information.”

QHAWEKAZI ENCOURAGES WOMEN TO ENTER MISS SOUTH AFRICA

In her Instagram story Qhawekazi commented, “I remember last year when applications opened I had an unforgettable feeling that Thad to give myself permission to try. And not just for myself, but for the communities I was already serving.

Miss SA has stretched me in unimaginable ways. It’s helped me refine how I see impact. It’s shown me the power of collaboration. And it’s shown me the power of choosing courage. Your time might be now. If you have been thinking about entering, keep an eye out in the next few weeks.”

With the entry period approaching, many hopeful contestants across the country are expected to prepare their applications for a chance to compete for the prestigious Miss South Africa title.
