Minnie Dlamini reflects on iconic first True Love cover shot in New York

South African star Minnie Dlamini has taken a walk down memory lane, reminiscing about her very first True Love magazine cover.

Sharing stunning images from the shoot on social media, Minnie opened up about the experience that sparked what she calls a lasting “love affair” with the magazine.

In the heartfelt post, Minnie credited the powerhouse glam team that helped bring the vision to life.

“I had my dear friend & celebrity hairstylist @ursulastephen who at the time was responsible for Rihanna’s iconic pixie era… and makeup artist to the stars @luckysmyler who pushed me that whole shoot to go for the shot and kill it!” she wrote.

She also gave a shoutout to celebrity stylist and designer @stevenkinlock, saying, “He still keeps me on my toes and insists I have a @mr.kinlock piece in my closet constantly.”

What made the shoot even more special for Minnie was that it all started with her own bold idea.

“I came up with the crazy idea to shoot our cover in New York, made some calls and together we created magic,” she recalled.

Since that groundbreaking shoot, Minnie has graced the cover of True Love six times, describing each experience as a step in pushing creative boundaries.

“Six iconic covers later, we still keep pushing the boundaries,” she proudly added.

The post, accompanied by stunning visuals from that first shoot, has been met with praise from fans and industry peers who continue to celebrate Minnie’s growth, creativity, and enduring influence in the entertainment and fashion space.
