Former Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United head coach Ernest Midderndorp lashed out at Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Midderndorp feels the five time FIFA Ballon d’Or winner must accept that he is not getting any younger.
Ronaldo had an interview with Piers Morgan where he spoke about the treatment he has received at his current club Manchester United, saying he “feels betrayed” and “forced out: out of the club.
He also insisted several times that he doesn’t respect head coach Erik Ten Hag, which had already resulted in Middendorp making contact with the United coach.
While United have announced they have “initiated appropriate steps in response” to the bombshell interview, Middendorp was not impressed by the 37-year-old’s behaviour.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is talking crap, Why does he not respect him?” Midderndorp told SuperSportTV.
“Ten Hag wants to win games, he has principles in attack and in defence. He wants to press high, with Ronaldo pressing high, you can’t do it anymore.
“So what are you doing as a coach is to take another player, a young player to follow the instructions and all of a sudden because you are not playing anymore you disrespect the coach?”
Ronaldo will be leading the Portuguese national team in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, with Portugal facing African side Ghana in their opening game of the showpiece.
