Uganda coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević has called up Richards Bay goalkeeper Salim Magoola in his squad to face Tanzania in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
Uganda started their qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-0 defeat to Algeria and 1-1 draw with Niger and need to pick up wins against Tanzania to keep their hopes of qualifying alive.
Micho has recalled Magoola for the first time March 2021 after his fine performances for the Natal Rich Boyz this season.
The 27-year-old could make his first appearance for Uganda since featuring in a 1-1 draw with Nigeria in November 2018.
Magoola is one of four goalkeepers in Micho’s provisional 30-man squad, which has mainly players from the continent.
