Michelle Yeoh Bahamas: A full-circle love story (Pics)

Michelle Yeoh is the Malaysian actress best known for Everything Everywhere All at Once.

That film made her the first Malaysian woman to win the Best Actress Oscar.

More recently, she’s taken on a role in Wicked. Now 63, she’s spent decades building one of the most celebrated careers in film, moving from martial arts blockbusters to prestige dramas.

Her latest holiday post, however, wasn’t about a film at all. Yeoh shared photos from a trip to the Bahamas with her husband, motor racing executive and former Ferrari CEO Jean Todt.

Together, they marked their third wedding anniversary in the exact spot where he proposed thirteen years earlier.

Paradise, twice over

The photos show Yeoh standing knee-deep in clear turquoise water.

She kept things casual in a grey long-sleeve shirt, white hat and sunglasses, while Todt stood beside her in a matching grey t-shirt and shorts.

She captioned the post: “13 years ago Jean proposed here in Bahamas and we just celebrated our 3rd anniversary back here in Paradise.”

The couple were together for almost two decades before marrying in Geneva in 2023. They later held a second celebration in Yeoh’s home country of Malaysia.

Fans flooded the comments with congratulations, clearly taken by the sentiment behind the trip rather than any swimwear moment.

A promise kept

Part of what makes this story land so well is its history. Todt reportedly made a promise to Yeoh’s father before his passing in 2014, assuring him he would marry his daughter.

Speaking about the relationship, Todt has said he doesn’t count their time together in years. Instead, he counts it in days, right down to the hour.

I’ll admit, stories like this one hit differently to the usual holiday snap. There’s something genuinely moving about a couple returning to the exact place where it all began, especially after promising a dying parent they’d get there eventually, hey.
