Metro FM unveils Moozlie and Scoop Ngwekazi as new presenters

Metro FM has recently announced a new 2026/27 line-up with prominent media personalities, Nomuzi ‘Moozlie’ Mabena and Siyabonga ‘Scoop’ Ngwekazi, co-hosting a weekend show.

The pair will host a new lifestyle-led show, Lift Off, which will air Fridays between 7 pm and 10 pm, and Saturdays from 6 pm to 9 pm. It promises to be a vibrant show that will keep Mzansi entertained on weekend late nights.

Scoop hosted the Metro FM Awards last year alongside Luthando ‘Lootlove’ Shosha. He is known and loved for his stint on Forever Young alongside Thomas Gumede and Lungile Radu, and has also been with YFM and internet radio, Touch Central.

Entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela took to his X (formerly Twitter) to break the news.

METRO FM new line-up

Siyabonga “Scoop” Ngwekazi and Nomuzi Mabena join the station.

The pair will co-host a new lifestyle-led show with a strong digital focus. Fridays between 19:00 and 22:00 and Saturdays from 18:00-21:00.

Veteran broadcaster Ismail Abrahams is leaving the station after 16 years, and will be replaced by a young broadcaster, Ricardo Genesis from Vow FM.

Mvangeli Nzuza takes over from Paulette Neo Kayise, who was the station’s weekday traffic reporter, leading to Paulette’s transition to weekend news.

As reported by IOL, Metro FM Business Manager, Kina Nhlengethwa said ”As Metro FM approaches 40 years, our intention is not to change what already works, but to celebrate the journey of the brand with the talent that has helped shape it over the years, while making strategic additions that strengthen our offering.

“These new voices complement an already strong lineup and support the station’s continued connection with its audience,” said Kina.
