Meghan Markle has joined the 2016 challenge sharing never-seen-before photos of herself with husband Prince Harry.

MEGHAN MARKLE JOINS 2016 THROWBACK

Social media has been abuzz as we entered 2026 as most felt nostalgic about 2016. Lately, many social media users have been sharing their 10-year throwback photos back to the “2016 era”, which many believed were elite.

Meghan Markle joined social media users by sharing her own 10-year throwback photo with Prince Harry. She also shared a black and white video of herself and Prince Harry in the present day as they sweetly danced and shared a kiss. The Duchess of Sussex revealed that the video was taken by their daughter Lilibet.

The second slide revealed a photo of Prince Harry and Meghan seemingly taken during their trip to Botswana in 2016. This was reportedly their third-ever date. Take a look…

“When 2026 feels just like 2016….you had to be there. 🎥 cred: our daughter,” the video was captioned.

PRINCE HARRY KNEW MEGHAN MARKLE WAS HIS SOULMATE

It was on that trip to Botswana that Prince Harry said he knew Meghan was his soulmate. On their show Harry & Meghan, the pair revealed that they had only met twice before this trip.

“I was astonished that she said, ‘Yes,’” said Harry.

“This woman, that I’ve really met twice, she’s coming to Botswana, and we’re gonna be living in a tent for five days!” he continued.

A year later, the pair announced their engagement in November 2017. In May 2018, the couple officially tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel, located within the grounds of Windsor Castle in a grand ceremony followed by a carriage procession through Windsor.

The pair then welcomed two children together – Prince Archie (6) and Princess Lilibet (4).
