On 19 May, Minnie Dlamini, a self-proclaimed “Africa’s diamond,” celebrated her brother Maphe Dlamini’s birthday with a beautifully curated Instagram reel.

MINNIE DLAMINI CELEBRATES BROTHER’S BIRTHDAY

The comments section buzzed with birthday tributes for Minnie’s brother, who just turned 46.

The former Rockville actress jokingly called her brother a “vampire” because he is approaching 50, yet his youthful glow is still poppin’.

Minnie’s sincere birthday message read:

“Happy Birthday to the vampire of the Dlamini family. (Yes, he’s the most beautiful and he doesn’t age lol. u50 is around the corner lol,” she wrote.

“To my big bro @mapreezy , more life and more blessings Sibalukhulu. We love you, Preezy,” she added.

The reel showcases the sibling duo at various moments in their lives, including her 2015 traditional ceremony known as Umhlonyane.

Her brother was also by her side during her wedding to industry colleague Quinton Jones in 2017.

Unfortunately, their marriage ended in 2022, with allegations that Minnie had an affair with the late Nkateko Mabaso, an executive at MultiChoice.

However, the media personality vehemently denied these claims made by controversial blogger Musa Khawula.

MINNIE: A ROSE AMONG THORNS

Maphe is more than just a big brother to the talented Minnie but also serves as her manager. In a birthday post in 2023, she thanked him for always looking out for her and believing in her dreams and abilities.

“Thank you for always taking care of me and looking out for me. I couldn’t ask for a better big brother and manager,” she wrote.

“Thank you for always having my back and reminding me who I am and what I am capable of. My right-hand man always,” she added.

Minnie’s younger brother, Khosini Dlamini, sadly passed away in 2019 due to a ruptured brain aneurysm.

As a result, Minnie sometimes mentions how his passing affected her, stating that she misses him and is still grappling with his absence.

When her son was born in 2020, Minnie bestowed him a second name, Makhosini, in honour of her late brother. His full name is Netha Makhosini Jones.
