Cape Town City attacking midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane has reached the milestone of becoming the club’s all-time top goal scorer.
Mdantsane joined Cape Town City in January 2020 from Baroka FC. The 27-year-old scored his first goal under the club when they were playing against Chippa United in 2020. Since then he never stopped banging those goals which saw him reaching a milestone of the club record of 18 goals in 69 club appearances.

‘Mdu’ has now surpassed the likes of Fagrie Lakay, Surprise Ralani and Romeo Erasmus who are all sitting on 17 goals after scoring nine goals this season in all competitions, eight in the league which has helped Citizens to be in a fighting spot for CAF club competition next season and one in MTN8.
The Mpumalanga-born talent has however been missing from their line-up after receiving a red card during their 5-1 thumping victory over Baroka and he managed to score a brace.
He’s now set to make his return to the football pitch on Wednesday when City face DStv Premiership defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
