The arrival of Kylian Mbappe already seems to have caused a split in the Los Blancos team, with Rodrygo hastily deleting a social media statement which explained that he felt left out.
Mbappe’s pairing in the squad with Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr has already seen the footballing world nickname them ‘BMV’.
Following on from popular La Liga trios such as BBC (Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo) and MSN (Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar Jnr), the acronym was quick to take off. But Rodrygo did not seem impressed at his exclusion.
“Last week, they talked about the trio Bellingham, Mbappe and Vini, but to this acronym we will have to add the R for Rodrygo,” read a message, which was sent out from the Brazilian’s WhatsApp channel on Monday.
Multiple reports have since claimed that the message was sent by the player’s communications team; and it was quickly deleted to avoid any misinterpretation.
Los Blancos have already claimed some silverware this season following their Uefa Super Cup win over Atalanta, with Mbappe quickly celebrating his first goal in white.
It was Rodrygo who got the only goal in Real’s opening day draw with Mallorca, though; and Carlo Ancelotti will certainly hope that all of his four forward men are on the same page as the season progresses.
