Mawhoo celebrates ‘Bengicela’ milestone

Amapiano star Mawhoo is in high spirits after her hit single Bengicela achieved a massive milestone on streaming platforms worldwide.

The singer took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her excitement, revealing that the track has now surpassed 45 million streams across all major digital service providers.

“‘Bengicela’ has done 45 million global streams across all major DSPs. When I wrote this song I asked God for more open doors, and it has gone on to achieve so much in such a short space of time. My heart is filled with gratitude ❤️ Amazwi Okubonga, 28/08,” she wrote.

Fans quickly filled her comments section with congratulatory messages, celebrating the achievement and applauding the star for her consistency in the amapiano scene.

The single, released in 2025, has grown into one of Mawhoo’s biggest records, cementing her position as one of the genre’s leading female voices.

With milestones like this, Bengicela continues to prove its global appeal.
