Sekhukhune United midfielder Given Mashikinya compared Richards Bay to Fulham in the English Premier League.
Babina Noko had a good run of four wins out of four after the arrival of coach Brandon Truter which saw them moving away from relegation and getting a chance to qualify for the MTN8.
But their momentum suffered a dent after losing their last two league games before they picked up some confidence when hammering third division side Liver Brothers by 6-0 in the Nedbank Cup last 32.
Mashikinya believes that this weekend’s encounter against Natal Richboyz will be another difficult one or his side.
“We’re facing Richards Bay that’s on a high and I feel like they did well this season, every season you have a team that is on form that comes from the lower division. You go to England, you’ve got Fulham, last season it was Leicester City,” Mashikinya told the media.
“We expect a high intensity game, it’s a team that really scores their goals most of them last minute because they’re persistent. They don’t give up. They hardly get tired
“So with us not getting results from the past two games, I just feel like it’s one of those times where you get points, get points and then you go through a rough patch so we actually fluctuating now we’re getting points, not getting points but the good thing about our team is that we keep clean sheets most of the times and then when we lose games goals are from our own mistakes.
“We just have to rectify that during this week and I’m happy that we were able to bang six goals. We ready for the game.”
The KwaZulu-Natal side are coming to this game, having not won their last three league games but have not lost to Babina Noko since the days of Motsepe Foundation Championship.
