Free State Stars are set to see out the rest of the 2021/22 GladAfrica Championship season with club icon Paulus Masehe in charge as interim head coach.
The 38-year-old who was serving as the assistant coach has replaced Innocent Mayoyo, who received his marching orders after a run of five games without a win.
Ea Lla Koto are now in ninth place, 11 points off league leaders Richards Bay – with six rounds of fixtures remaining in the South African second-tier.
iDiski Times understands that the process of securing a new coach will begin this week in Bethlehem, while Mashehe has been given the interim role.
Mayoyo took charge of Stars in December and highlighted his ambitions to win the league, but with results not forthcoming over the last month, chairman Rantsi Mokoena made the decision to part ways with the former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper.
