Marumo Gallants FC has confirmed that their team bus was involved in a minor road incident in Durban on Sunday evening, 2 November 2025, shortly after their Betway Premiership fixture against Golden Arrows.

The incident occurred as the team was travelling from the stadium back to their hotel.

The club reports that the bus was part of a three-car pile-up in which a private vehicle was propelled forward, resulting in a light impact with the rear of the team coach.

The club confirmed that no serious injuries were sustained. All players, technical staff, and accompanying personnel on board the bus are reported to be safe and in good condition.

Club management released a statement expressing relief following the incident.

“We are thankful that all our players and staff are safe,” the statement read.

“The incident was minor, and we appreciate the prompt response from local authorities and emergency services who ensured everyone’s safety.”

Despite the travel disruption, the club’s schedule is unaffected. The team is set to remain in Durban for the remainder of the week.

Their focus now turns to their upcoming fixtures, starting with a match against Durban City on Wednesday, followed by a crucial Carling Knockout Cup semi-final this Sunday.
