The Mzansi Magic reality series has topped the trending list on X every Sunday night and continued to trend into the following day as viewers share their reactions to the emotional moments, unexpected twists and relationship drama unfolding on screen.

A bold search for lasting love

The reality series follows a group of singles who agree to marry partners selected for them by relationship experts.

Meeting for the very first time at the altar, each couple takes a leap of faith in the hope of finding lasting love with a stranger. Throughout the experiment, they navigate married life while discovering whether their expert match can develop into a genuine, lasting relationship.

Meet the Season 3 couples

This season’s couples are Hlulani Ngobeni and Nompumelelo Sobopha, Lesiba Tleane and Matshediso Maphutse, Obren Masuku and Laurinda Mabunda, and Prince Masuku and Esethu Seku.

Each couple brings their own personalities, expectations and challenges to the experiment, making for an entertaining and unpredictable season.

Nompumelelo shares her journey

24-Year-old entrepreneur Nompumelelo Sobopha gave the inside scoop on what inspired her to say “I do” to a complete stranger, her first impressions of her husband, and why she believes viewers should follow her journey this season.

What made you decide to join the show?

I had reached a point where I felt frustrated with the typical dating scene, so I thought, why not give the experts a chance? Sometimes taking a bold risk can lead to something extraordinary.

What about the experiment made you feel it was right for you?

I was drawn to the idea of being intentional about love rather than focusing only on chemistry. It felt like an opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and pursue something that could be truly meaningful.
