Mark Pilgrim’s nearest and dearest – including fiancé, Adrienne Watkins – are celebrating what would have been his 56th birthday.

The beloved TV and radio star died of stage four lung cancer in 2023 after a long, public battle with the disease.

Mark was known for his TV presenting gigs, such as hosting seasons one and two of Big Brother, as well as his radio gigs on stations 5FM, Jacaranda FM, and, at the time of his death, Hot 102.7 FM.

In an Instagram post, Mark Pilgrim’s fiancé, Adrienne Watkins, celebrated his 56th birthday over the weekend.

Alongside a collage of images, including snaps with his daughters, she posted: “Tonight we light a candle and make a special birthday wish for you, love bug! You would have been 56 today”.

She added: “I’m so sorry, I miss you, I miss us”.

GONE TOO SOON

On 5 March 2023, Mark Pilgrim lost his battle with cancer, which he had been diagnosed with just a year earlier.

At the age of 18 years old, the radio star was diagnosed with stage three testicular cancer, which he overcame.

Twenty years later, he survived a heart attack that left him with permanent internal damage.

Mark Pilgrim left behind an illustrious career, as well as his two daughters with his ex-wife.
