Teams news is in for this evening’s DStv Premiership fixture between Maritzburg United and Mamelodi Sundowns.
The DStv Premiership log leaders travel to Pietermaritzburg with a substantial lead at the top of the table, and while on paper it should be another three points against a team who are 12th, 33 points behind Masandwana, and Thapelo Morena says they cannot be complacent.
Morena says Maritzburg always make you fight for everytihng, and they need to carry over their aggression from previous games into this encounter.
“It’s going to be a very difficult game for us,” Morena told Sundowns’ website.
“Usually when we go to Maritzburg we are going to have to fight for everything. The most important thing for us as a team is that we have a process and that we are following our process, we take every game the way it comes.
“Going into the game we want to carry over the aggression, the hard work and the willingness to play. We created good chances and scored good goals, so that’s the most important thing we want to take.
“We want to be able to convert the chances we create, we know they are going to play a very transitional game so we really need to be spot on when it comes to our counter-pressing and dealing with those situations like we did in the previous game.”
