Former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Oupa Manyisa has ruled out a return to the PSL but says he feels strong to go on for a few more years in the second tier.

The 33-year-old spent the last two seasons with GladAfrica Premiership side Platinum City Rovers.

Interestingly, his initiative with his ex-Bucs teammate Brighton Mhlongo – MyFootballCV – saw eight players given a run in the Pirates Cup by the club. The move suggests Manyisa has a good relationship with club management as they continue to support the initiative.

“I still feel strong, and I think I can still go on for a few more years,” Manyisa told FARPost.

He added that he was content in the second tier and believes he is well-positioned for his project.

Manyisa spent six seasons at pirates, winning two successive trebles before moving to Downs, where he won.

He had a stint with Chippa United before going to Rovers at the start of the 2021/22 season. Rovers have previously acknowledged that the veteran anchorman is a leader in their dressing room and always encourages his teammates about the game.
