Springbok Manie Libbok and his beautiful wife, Verna, are celebrating a year of marriage.

The rugby couple tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Mossel Bay on 6 October 2024.

VERNA AND MANIE LIBBOK CELEBRATE WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

On their Instagram account, Verna and Manie celebrated their wedding anniversary with a collage of images taken during the first year of marriage.

The Springbok married his bride at a picturesque wedding venue at Seeplaas in Groot Brakrivier in Mossel Bay.

Both Verna and Manie have posted professional snaps from their special day, attended by close friends and family.

“The best day of our lives,” Verna captioned one post.

Verna and Manie Libbok met in high school in George but became romantically involved in recent years. Manie is originally from Humansdorp in the Eastern Cape but relocated with his family to the Western Cape coastal town.

HIGH SCHOOL TO HAPPILY-EVER-AFTER

Speaking to Insider SA earlier last year, Verna described her friendship and later relationship with Manie Libbok.

“He was very shy and quiet, and I’m very bubbly,” Verna – an educator, said.

Manie chimed in: “She caught my eye from the word go. I just wanted to be closer to her”.

Verna added: “Being the girlfriend of a Stormers [and Springbok] player is quite normal because I love my normal life. But obviously, they are in the limelight, so you have to get used to a lot of stuff, especially the media.

“It can be stressful.”
