Man linked to Mihlali Ndamase stalking claims breaks silence, denies romantic ties

Michael Brits, the man at the centre of the ongoing drama involving influencer Mihlali Ndamase, has finally spoken out to share his version of events following allegations that he had been stalking her.

Brits released a statement shortly before making his social media account private, confirming that he does know Ndamase but disputing key aspects of the narrative circulating online.

“Michael Brits wish to categorically state that I do know Ms Mihlali Ndamase, as we previously had an interaction during which a prior altercation was resolved,” he said.

He went on to deny claims that their interaction ever extended into a personal or romantic relationship, or that there were any inappropriate exchanges between them.

According to Brits, the allegations have caused significant harm, particularly given that he is married.

“Ms Ndamase and I have never had a personal or romantic relationship, nor were there ever any exchanges of solicitation between us,” he stated.

“The information circulating on the internet regarding Ms Ndamase and me is false, misleading, and damaging to both her reputation and mine. Particularly as I am a family man.”

Brits also apologised to both families, acknowledging the distress the situation has caused.

“I wish to extend my sincere apologies to both our families for the harm and distress caused by the false narratives published online,” he added.

His account contradicts earlier statements made by Ndamase, who previously said she had been living in constant fear as a result of the alleged stalking.

The influencer had also responded after counter-allegations surfaced accusing her of assaulting Brits with a bottle during an altercation.
